It’s encouraging to see most all of the Northeast states are green indicating sheltering in place (come on Pennsylvania). If your state is still orange or red, statistics and computer modeling indicate the pandemic will take longer to run its course, and take more people to the grave with it.
Part of me wants to say that the leaders in those remaining states, holding out to sheltering in place are just playing with fire. Part of me understands that they are trying to balance our right to freedom of choice and to also preserve our livelihoods.
In my opinion, what is conflicting is that the writing is on the wall and by not helping to spread the virus, will give us all a better chance to end this turbulent time we find ourselves in.
Our right to freedom should not endanger other people’s right to live.
