approaching home at a speed beyond my mortal strength,
i wind out the day’s length…
i take my final turn and stop the hurtling mass-
i gaze through the fence, at my sons frolicking in the grass.
they hear the engine’s roar and come running, to my barely open door.
my tired mind greets them with a smile, realizing i am here, for only a while.
i kiss them, i hug them, i ask them of the day gone by.
i listen and am there- for their tender Eye.
daddy’s home…
