After six months, we are no further along towards containing the pandemic. Immeasurable pain and heartache have bled from the faces of so many people, from so many places. No culture or race has immunity.
We all wait for the apocalyptic show to end, with hope for closure and for life to resume where we may breathe deeply, the air so abundantly provided to us by the oceans and plants that clean our skies.
Much research, publications and science will say, that they will succeed in finding the way out of this situation. However, there are simple facts that imply we must alter our days to extinguish the spread, and crush the pandemic chaos caused by such a small strand of RNA.
There is no vaccine for SARS.
There is no vaccine for SARS-CoV-2.
There are no vaccines for coronaviruses, at all.
The world held the spread of SARS at bay, not with a vaccine, but by isolation of those infected to prevent the spread to others. Within six months, the outbreak was contained and life returned to a normal. We learned a lesson from this time, but as the spread of SARS-CoV-2 continues, obviously not very well.
The only way to stop the spread of SARS-CoV-2 is to stay isolated until it has no where else to go. You either have it now or you don’t. Assume you have it and self isolate in your home or outside with your close people. In 14 days, you will know. You will be beyond the incubation period and well, be recovering or have symptoms that will require a longer time to recover from.
We must all, enter … the waiting room.
